VETERANS’ EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICE

Administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) helps connect veterans with employers, educational grants, and advocates in addition to providing resources for transitional services.

WHAT SERVICES DOES VETS OFFER?

Veterans and eligible spouses may receive access to a full range of employment and training services, including:

  • Job search assistance workshops
  • Resume help
  • Labor market information
  • Career counseling
  • Job referral

…and more. The services are available on a priority of service basis, which means veterans and eligible spouses who meet the eligibility criteria may receive access to the service before, or instead of, persons who are not eligible for priority of service.

One stop career centers are another benefit of the VETS program. These centers provide job seekers with a range of assistant under one roof, including resume assistance, career counseling, etc. There is a one-stop career center in every state, Washington D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

To learn more about the program and one-stop career centers, visit VETS on the Department of Labor’s website.
